It’s not Independence Day in the United States without an afternoon cookout and the evening fireworks display! Due to COVID-19, most Orange County festivities have been canceled or modified to mitigate the spread of the virus, but there are still a number of opportunities to safely celebrate both at home and nearby. Dress in your best red, white, and blue outfit and bring a face mask and plenty of hand sanitizer to safely enjoy your 4th of July holiday. The City of Tustin is hosting a modified version of their annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show this upcoming Saturday, July 4th, 2020, at 9:00 PM. Enjoy the light display from the comfort of your home window, balcony, or rooftop, or tune-in to the livestream starting at 8:30 PM at Tustin4thofJuly.com. Celebrate the red, white, and blue with a socially distanced carpool cinema experience at the City National Grove of Anaheim. Enjoy this true American pastime with a double feature showing Shrek at 7:20 PM and Independence Day at 10:30 PM. Tickets are $40 per car for parking, plus $9.50 per person, and children under 5 are free. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the COVID-19 response.

The City of Los Alamitos and City of Seal Beach are hosting a free drive-in style Fourth of July fireworks celebration this upcoming Saturday, July 4th, 2020, at the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base. This event will be modified as a drive-up and view format with the show to begin at approximately 9:00 PM. The gates will open at 7:15 PM for vehicle entrance only, and check-in procedures will be in place that include an ID check, temperature check, and health screenings for all individuals.
