The Best of Irvine Parks

Irvine is one of the most beautiful cities in California. There’s no denying that! And one of the reasons is the ample park space dedicated to getting outdoors and enjoying the splendor of nature. 

Bill Barber Memorial Park

This gorgeous little piece of urban greenery is a perfect place to spend an afternoon. Take a stroll through the Bill Barber Memorial  formal garden and check out the impressive roses on display around the grand fountain in the middle. It’s a perfect picnic spot or place for an Insta-worthy photo shoot. . The little ones will have the time of their lives on the massive playground. And if you are the sporting type, this park includes softball diamonds, soccer fields, batting cages, 6 lighted tennis courts, and more. 

Irvine Regional Park

While this park isn’t technically in Irvine city limits, we’ll give it a pass because it shares the best name. There is almost too much to see and do at Irvine Regional Park. From train rides and pony rides to paddle boating on the lake to the OC Zoo, this place is worth repeat visits. Take the old fashioned Irvine Park Railroad between attractions or rent a Surrey and pedal your family along! 

Orange County Great Park 

What once was a Marine Corps Air Station is now a 1,300 acre park featuring a carousel, multiple sports fields and courts, ice skating rink, playgrounds, a giant balloon that lifts you up to 400 feet into the air, and is home to the professional soccer team, OC Soccer Club. We know, it’s a lot to take in. There is plenty more to discover for yourself at the Orange County Great Park. Explore this incredible park and you may find your new favorite hangout.
