Wouldn’t you like just one week where you didn’t have to cook dinner? Or lunch? Or even breakfast? Well, Irvine, you’re in luck. It’s that delightful time of year where the participating restaurants in the 2020 Orange County Restaurant Week will handle the cooking for you! The only thing you’ll be making between March 8th and 14th is reservations to any of the 150 participating restaurants. Forget the meal prep and dishes; this week is for the foodies of SoCal to sit back, relax, and indulge in all that the OC food scene has to offer! Bringing the community together using the art of food, this is the 12th annual OC Restaurant week, and here are a few things that make this week so great.
The prices during OC Restaurant Week are one thing worth mentioning in this blog, but we’ll get to that in a minute because the dozens of participating Irvine restaurants are the main attraction! Not only does each restaurant offer a unique menu item or specialty, but each restaurant’s location, views, ambiance, wine and cocktail pairings, and of course, the desserts all make them unique! You can find a list of the participating restaurants by best cocktail specials, locations fit for “dessert lovers”, menus with vegetarian options, and much more, here. A few participating restaurants near Skyloft include Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine, Ill Fornaio, EATS Kitchen and Bar, and the Daily Grill (amongst many others!).
Not only are the participating restaurants and all of the delicious food worth highlighting during OC Restaurant Week, but the prices are equally as impressive. Ranging from $15 lunches to $80 luxe dinners; there’s something for everyone (and all budgets). With curated menus designed specifically for restaurant week, and dishes equally as unique to match the occasion, some restaurants also offer discounted menu items only for the week. The favorable prices allow us foodies to try new things and new restaurants in the area, and you never know, you just might find your new favorite place to grab a bite to eat.
